I personally believe that singular idea has caused at least as much if not more harm that all of the wars ever fought. I suspect that kind of thinking has caused most wars.. that idea that we are separate, that what happens to one doesn't effect another or all of us.

I also personally believe that the best way to ensure the wellbeing and safety of woman and children is to grow healthy, empathetic, nurturing boys in to men. The only way to do that is to collectively nurture and model empathy to all the children we come into contact with. Unfortunately we still live in a society that struggle with boundaries and understanding the difference between what is private and what is community responsibility.

Darcia Narvaez has published three studies on parenting for better mental health and empathy. She is says "The way we raise our children today in this country is increasingly depriving them of the practices that lead to well being and a moral sense," If only modern parents could follow our ancestors' lead."
http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/singletons/201010/raising-baby-hunter-gatherer-styleJamie Billinghamhttp://blog.thoughtstream.ca/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5593315389173549539.post-675911158984360802012-03-15T10:49:28.041-07:002012-03-15T10:49:28.041-07:00Sean... Positive social change starts by focusing on the positive social and emotional development of young men at a very early age and maintaining that attention continuing up into early adulthood and beyond. We have the philosophically sound program that will make a difference we just need the men and resources to deliver it. So a huge thanks to the Kinsmen for stepping up to play a part in that role.

Tyler Duffy

Psychology Research Student investigating the "Knights in Training" Grow Boys Mentorship Program.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5593315389173549539.post-41593401275686925642012-03-10T13:37:06.712-08:002012-03-10T13:37:06.712-08:00Very exciting and innovative! But as I ponder the long term effects, which we are experiencing now, I believe much of the focus must be on boys for a couple reasons. 1. Boys grow into men. And it is the man that determines the culture of the family. Yes women keep the wheel spinning, but the man guides the ship. When the man's focus is off, everything from standard of living to energy in the home is impacted. The converse is seen when a man who is strong and goal oriented is at the head. 2. Much of the production that society as a whole is missing, I believe is due to this crisis with, our boys. Creating things and products has traditionally been done by men. But as our potential workforce is weeded out in grades K-12 and herded off to prison, we've lost that.

Great post, and thanks for the HYPE shoutout!Dr. Diahttp://letsgethype.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5593315389173549539.post-64389631841628041392012-02-21T20:29:37.830-08:002012-02-21T20:29:37.830-08:00Thanks for chiming in Melissa. Through a serendipitous connection, we all had the capacity to speak silly sounding language because it was fun. All of us have been actively looking at ways to say words to capture complexity.

Each of us move in other circles, although we intersect on twitter for neme exchange in asynch time. The lightness and natural language we can use with each other facilitated the exchange and made if fun.

As time passed other nemiStrings were entangled. From a development point of view, the inflection point in my opinion, was the addition of Dibyendu in Kalkuta.

The process was (Me and @Rotkapchen ) + ( @Rotkapchen and @TheDesignKata ) . When those nemispheres collided = ( me and @Rotkapchen and @TheDesignKata)
Turns out that me + @TheDesignKata have a resonating nemiStrings in that we both seem to have a tradition of looking at the things from a Dialectal Materialism viewpoint.

The inflection point occurred as Dibyendu brings a long nemiTube of experience in India and he writes beautifully in the service of explicating complex processes in English words.

The first post he did was a Neme that could be exchanged.

The point in this context is that notation of (x ((y) z)) might help map the personal relationships of Trust that are at the basis of a Trusted Network.

Might be interesting to identify the trusted networks that live in the "organizational" to local the nemistrings that will resonate to nurture a resilient network of support.

Please let me know 1. if this makes sense 2.
